#1. District Phu Nhuan, Local Restaurant Com Tam Ba Ghien Review
Com Tam Ba Ghien is located in an alley near the airport in District Phu Nhuan, Ho Chi Minh City, so it is quite far from the area where many tourists stay. However, if you want to taste the best com tam in Ho Chi Minh City, which was selected by the Michelin Bib Gourmand, you cannot help but visit.
I visited to dine alone after 8pm on a Sunday evening, and even though it was less than 30 minutes before closing time, there were hardly any empty seats due to the number of customers dining. Also, the prices are quite high for a local restaurant, but most of the people there are locals.
On this day, I ordered Com Suon Thap Cam(Pork Rib Mixed). Spread rice on a large plate and top it with Suon(Pork Rib), Op La(Fried Egg), Bi(Pork Skin), Cha Trung Hap(Steamed Egg), Xuc Xich(Sausage), Xiu Mai(Meatball), and pickled vegetables. The portion was huge as there were various ingredients on top of the rice.
Since I ordered Com Suon, the most important thing was the Suon(Pork Rib). It was more than twice the size of the Com Suon at other regular local restaurants, was quite thick, and had a good sweet and salty seasoning without any unpleasant smell, so it was really delicious.
All the food on top of rice, including fried egg, pork skin, meatball, and sausage, were good overall, and the Cha Trung Hap(Steamed Egg) with meat was especially delicious. Com Suon Thap Cam is one of the best Com Tam restaurants in downtown Ho Chi Minh City. It was more than expensive, but the portions were generous and delicious.

Com Tam Ba Ghien, a popular com tam restaurant, sells several types of com tam, broth, and drinks. When I first visited the restaurant and received the food, I couldn't help but scream "Wow". There is a restaurant where you could see a huge amount of com tam that looked so generous and delicious. The prices are quite high for a local restaurant, and after being selected as a Michelin Bib Gourmand, the prices got even higher, but I felt it was worth a visit because the portions were generous and delicious.
I visited for a meal alone on a Sunday evening and ordered the following.

Pepsi: 15,000VND
A total of 165,000VND is quite high for a meal at a local restaurant. However, when you see Com Tam Ba Ghien's generous com tam, you will immediately realize that the prices are not that expensive compared to other local restaurants. Although the price has more increased since being selected for the Michelin Bib Gourmand, it would not be easy to find a com tam restaurant in Ho Chi Minh City that is more special than this one.
