#1. District Binh Thanh, Pham Viet Chanh Street East Borough Pizza Review
East Borough Pizza is located on the corner of Pham Viet Chanh Street in District Binh Thanh, which is called Little Tokyo or the second Japanese street in Ho Chi Minh City. This casual American pizza place, which has been open for only a few months, is popular especially among Westerners visiting the area for its reasonable prices and excellent taste.

I visited on a Sunday evening to have a meal alone and sat down at an empty table. It's a cute, casual restaurant with a few tables set up in a narrow front yard of a small building in an alley.

For drinks, they sell several types of Vietnamese craft beer and Huda draft beer, so I ordered Huda draft beer. It is a light golden lager beer with a sharp, refreshing and a slightly bitter aftertaste, and is a beer from the central region of Vietnam.

East Borough Pizza sells five different types of pizza, and I ordered four to try. The first pizza was the White Pie, an attractive, creamy and cheesy pizza topped with white sauce, mozzarella, ricotta, and garlic confit on a moderately thick, tough American-style dough.

The second pizza was the Pepperoni, which was made with Italian peeled tomatoes, mozzarella, grana padano, pepperoni, and basil, so it tasted somewhere between Italian and American pizza, and in my opinion, it was the best pizza.

For the third pizza, I ordered the Margherita, which was made with Italian peeled tomatoes, mozzarella, grana padano, and basil, and had an appealingly light taste, unlike the Pepperoni.

The fourth and final pizza was the Xa Xiu(Char Siu), which was topped with barbecue sauce, mozzarella, shallots, cilantro and char siu. I really liked the combination of the rich pork, sweet and sour barbecue sauce and refreshing shallots.

In addition to the four pizzas mentioned above, there is also a Burrata pizza, which is just the Margherita with burrata cheese added. East Borough Pizza has only been open for a short time and only serves a few pizzas and drinks, but the affordable price and excellent taste exceeded my expectations, so I was able to have a very satisfying meal.

#2. East Borough Pizza Menu
East Borough Pizza only offers a few pizzas and drinks, and sides like buffalo wings and french fries were not ready yet when I visited. It’s a charming casual eatery that offers quality American pizza at reasonable prices, with the option to add toppings like parmesan and burrata cheese. Drink prices are generally on the high side, especially Vietnamese craft beers.

I visited alone for dinner on Sunday evening and ordered as follows:
Pepperoni: 65,000VND
White Pie: 65,000VND
Margherita: 65,000VND
Xa Xiu: 65,000VND
Huda Draft Beer: 50,000VND x 2 EA = 100,000VND
I was able to enjoy delicious pizza and beer to my heart’s content for a total of 360,000VND. East Borough Pizza is an attractive casual restaurant where you can taste pretty decent American pizza at a reasonable price. It has only been open for a short time, so they only serve a few pizzas and drinks, but the low price and the taste were better than expected, so I was able to have a very satisfying meal.
