DE NHAT COM CANH THIT LON(Waterside Best Pork Soup and Rice) is a pork soup restaurant that opened in 2023 in Phu My Hung, District 7, Ho Chi Minh City, where many Korean residents live. The Waterside Best Pork Soup and Rice, located near Gwangalli Waterside Park in Busan, which is known to quite a few Koreans and is also popular among Busan people, has arrived in Ho Chi Minh City.
It has a neat interior that feels like a typical Korean restaurant, and there is a dining space on the second floor also, but the restaurant is not that big, so it gets very crowded during meal times even on weekdays. If you visit outside of meal times, you can eat in a comfortable environment without having to wait.
Basic side dishes include cabbage kimchi, radish kimchi, pickled morning glory, onions, peppers, chives, garlic, spicy chili sauce, ssamjang, and salted shrimp. This was my first time trying pickled morning glory, and the crunchy texture and sweet and salty taste were quite nice.
I was bored just eating soup, so I ordered a can of Tiger beer. Characteristics of a Korean restaurant... They sell local beer for 50,000VND while local restaurants sell it for 20,000 to 30,000VND. It felt expensive, but I've never seen beer sold cheaply at a Korean restaurant in Phu My Hung, so I thought it was natural.
The assorted pork soup I ordered came with bowls of rice. Assorted pork soup is a soup containing pork, intestines, and sundae. If there are no ingredients you particularly dislike, ordering assorted pork soup allows you to enjoy a variety of textures and flavors.
A large earthen pot is filled with pork, intestines, and sundae, and the rich and savory soup is attractive without any unpleasant bad smell. The portion size is large enough to fill even an adult man, and the earthen pot is heated well, so it is unlikely that the food will get cold while eating.
Basically, it's seasoned to a certain degree, so it's delicious to eat pork soup on its own, but it becomes even more delicious if you add chives, spicy chili sauce, and salted shrimp. Just add salted shrimp and spicy chili sauce little by little to taste and adjust the seasoning carefully so that it is not too salty for a delicious meal.

The most basic menu items are pork soup and intestine soup, and you can eat them in various combinations depending on what ingredients are added. In addition to soup, they also sell boiled pork and sundae, making it an attractive place to visit for a glass of soju.
I visited to dine alone on a Friday evening and ordered the following.
Assorted Pork Soup and Rice: 180,000VND
Tiger Beer: 50,000VND
I was able to fill my stomach with delicious pork soup with beer for a reasonable price of 230,000VND. The price range for food such as soup and rice is similar to Korea, and the price of soju is not bad, but the price of a can of Tiger beer at 50,000VND seems a bit expensive. Aside from the fact that the beer is a bit expensive, it is a great restaurant with a clean, friendly staff, and plenty of pork soup with no foul odor.
