#1. District 7, Phu My Hung Pork Bone Stew Restaurant UMJINE Review
The pork bone stew restaurant UMJINE is located in an alley near the Phu My Hung Sky Garden complex in District 7, Ho Chi Minh City, where the Korean BBQ Kyung Hee Gung is located. This restaurant is famous for its generous and delicious pork bone stew at a reasonable price. In addition to pork bone stew, it also serves a variety of Korean dishes that go well with soju, such as Braised Spicy Chicken, Pollack Soup, Pork Rib Soup, Seafood Pancake, Fermented Skate Pancake.
On Friday and Saturday evenings, the place is bustling with people having a meal and drinks, but on Sunday lunchtime, there were only a few tables customers. I visited with a friend for a meal and a drink on Sunday lunchtime and sat in a corner.
For pork bone stew, there are two sizes: large(for 3-4 people) and medium(for 2-3 people). I chose the medium size. The pork bone stew with ripe kimchi, which has ripe kimchi added to pork bone stew, is also quite popular, with a difference of 50,000VND.
The side dishes were simple, consisting of cabbage kimchi, radish kimchi, pickled cucumbers, onions, chili peppers, and ssamjang, but they went well with pork bone stew. The radish kimchi had a crunchy texture and a deep, refreshing taste, which was especially good.
The Pork Bone Stew(Medium) had plenty of ingredients such as pork backbone, potatoes, dried radish greens, perilla leaves, bok choys, enoki mushrooms, and green onions, so it was not enough for three people, but it was a bit too much for two.
The spicy and rich broth tasted just as good as the pork bone stew I had in Korea, and it had six pork back bone with lots of tender meat, allowing me to eat the meat to my heart's content.
After eating all the ingredients, I ordered a fried rice. They added chopped onions, carrots, green onions, etc. to the leftover broth and fried with rice, then sprinkled a lot of seaweed on top. Even though I only ordered one, the amount was huge.
Even though I was full, I couldn't stop eating the rich and savory fried rice. I loved the crispy texture of that stuck to the bottom of the pot. It was the perfect ending to a meal.

Tiger Beer: 50,000VND
I was able to have a satisfying meal for a good price of 830,000VND. UMJINE is a restaurant where you can taste the spicy and rich pork bone stew that I had in Korea, with plenty of pork backbone, at a reasonable price, and it is a restaurant that always leaves me satisfied every time I visit.
