#1. District 7, Chinese Restaurant NHA HANG AM THUC HAI SON Review
Chinese restaurant NHA HANG AM THUC HAI SON is located opposite Bun Bo Vy Da Xua, a famous bun bo restaurant in Phu My Hung, District 7, Ho Chi Minh City. This restaurant, run by a Taiwanese owner, offers a variety of Chinese dishes at reasonable prices, making it a popular restaurant for Chinese people living in the neighborhood.
The first floor of the restaurant has a kitchen and a small dining hall, and the second and third floors have large halls that can accommodate group guests. I visited alone on a Saturday evening and took a seat in a corner on the first floor. Everyone eating around me was Chinese.
Since I visited a Chinese restaurant, I tried to order Tsingtao beer, but they said they were selling Snow beer instead of Tsingtao. Snow beer is a common sight in Chinese restaurants these days. Although it has a weaker aroma and taste than Tsingtao beer, it has a strong refreshing feeling and a clean finish, so it goes well with oily Chinese food.
For my first dish, I ordered Sui Cao Tom He(Shrimp and Chive Dimsum). It's a simple dim sum filled with shrimp and chives inside the dumpling skin, and it's quite delicious when dipped in soy sauce with chili oil.
For my second dish, I ordered Com Chien Trung Tom(Shrimp and Egg Fried Rice). It was definitely delicious, as each grain of rice was coated in oil and had a rich taste.
For my third dish, I ordered Dau Hu Tu Xuyen(Szechuan Mapo Tofu). The taste wasn't bad, but I expected spicy and strong taste Sichuan style, but it was sweet and savory Taiwanese style.
You can enjoy delicious fried rice even more when you eat it with mapo tofu. It was disappointing that it wasn't the spicy and strong taste Sichuan mapo tofu, but the Taiwanese mapo tofu wasn't bad either. It was a taste suitable for people who do not like spicy food.
NHA HANG AM THUC HAI SON is one of the few Chinese restaurants located in Phu My Hung, District 7. It is run by a Taiwanese owner, so you can taste Chinese food with a bit of a Taiwanese feel. There is frequented by Chinese people living nearby as it is reasonably priced, has generous portions, and is delicious.
