#1. District 2, Thao Dien Italian Restaurant Pasta Fresca Review
Italian restaurant Pasta Fresca is located in a small alley opposite Katinat cafe, Thao Dien, District 2, Ho Chi Minh City. It is an attractive restaurant where you can taste authentic Italian dishes such as pasta and pizza. Their pasta is especially good, one of the best in Ho Chi Minh City.
I visited for a solo meal on a Thursday evening and took a seat at a small table in the center of the restaurant. This is a unique restaurant with trees and flower pots planted on an outdoor gravel field and tables placed naturally here and there, giving off an eco-friendly feel.
I felt like it would be a shame not to drink alcohol with dinner, so I ordered a Heineken Silver draft beer. It has a lighter taste compared to the original Heineken, but has almost no bitter taste, has a low alcohol content, and has a strong refreshing feeling, making it a good to drink casually with dinner.
Along with the beer, bread was served on a nice plate. It was filled with pizza dough and grissini like cookie stick. It had a light and savory taste and was great to eat with beer while waiting for the food we ordered.
For my first dish, I ordered the starter, Taleggio In Carrozza. It is an Italian deep-fried cheese sandwich, containing salty and deep-tasting Taleggio cheese with a pungent scent and a slight acidity, and decorated with prosciutto and arugula.
Just cut the carrozza into bite-sized pieces and top it with prosciutto and arugula. The crunchy and melty deep-fried cheese sandwich, the salty and concentrated taste of prosciutto, the unique aroma of arugula, and the sour and sweet taste of balsamic vinegar combined to create a variety of textures and flavors that were enjoyable.
For my second dish and main meal of the day, I ordered pasta that Green Spinach Linguine for noodles and Basil and Walnuts Pesto for sauce. Green basil pesto pasta sprinkled with plenty of Parmesan cheese was served on a large, clean white plate. It was a really delicious pasta with the fresh scent of basil, the nutty taste of walnuts, and the flavor of parmesan.
Pasta Fresca is a restaurant where you can order your own pasta noodles and sauce, allowing you to have fun combining pasta to suit your taste. If you find it difficult to choose on your own, the staff will make recommendations so you can get help. Overall, the food is clean and delicious, making this a restaurant that comes to mind on days when I crave pasta.

Pasta Fresca serves a variety of Italian dishes, including main dishes such as pasta and pizza, as well as starters, salads, and desserts. The price is a bit high considering the prices in Ho Chi Minh City, but considering the quantity and quality of the food, it feels acceptable. This is a restaurant where you can eat delicious, authentic Italian pasta at a reasonable price, and it is a restaurant that definitely has merit for those who love pasta.

Including 5% service charge, 8% general VAT, and 10% alcohol VAT, the total amount was 701,304VND. Pasta Fresca is not cheap considering the prices in Ho Chi Minh City, but it is an attractive restaurant where you can taste Italian dishes such as pasta and pizza. In particular, this is one of the best pasta restaurants in Ho Chi Minh, so I highly recommend it to those who like pasta.
