#1. District 2, Thao Dien German restaurant Parkhaus Thao Dien Review
German restaurant Parkhaus has shops on Le Lai Street in District 1, Ho Chi Minh City and near Thao Dien Pearl in Thao Dien, District 2. Parkhaus is an attractive restaurant where you can enjoy German cuisine such as schnitzel, sausages, and German beer at a reasonable price, as it is one of the few German restaurants in downtown Ho Chi Minh.
There are tables for dining both outdoors and indoors, and there is a bar table inside the restaurant. The props and interior are well thought out, making it feel like you are visiting a German local restaurant. I visited on a Wednesday evening to eat alone and took a seat in the corner.
The tables were neatly set with placemats, plates, napkins, cutlery, salt, pepper, mustard sauce, etc., giving it a more authentic feel than a casual restaurant. When I ordered beer, they gave me peanuts as a side dish.
Since I was in a German restaurant, I must drank German beer. I ordered Arcobrau Weizen(500ml). It is a wheat beer with a high density, moderately refreshing, and a soft, rich aroma and taste that is quite attractive. It is a beer that goes better with spicy and rough food than delicate food.
For my first meal, I ordered Currywurst. It is a casual dish where bratwurst(beef sausage) is covered in a generous amount of curry ketchup, sprinkled with curry powder, and served with French fries. It is a combination that cannot be tasteless and goes really well with beer.
For the second dish, I ordered Wiener Schnitzel Veal. It is a representative veal cutlet dish of Austria and Germany. It is the origin of tonkatsu and is eaten without any sauce, sprinkled with lime juice, salt, and pepper. The soft batter and light taste have a different charm from tonkatsu.
The potato salad was especially delicious. Made with roughly chopped potatoes, cucumbers, and pickles, the sour and salty flavor went well with the light Wiener schnitzel.
German restaurant Parkhaus Thao Dien is a restaurant where you can enjoy authentic German food and beer at a surprisingly reasonable price. The only downside is that the portions are large, so if you visit alone, it is difficult to order several dishes and try them all.
#2. German restaurant Parkhaus Thao Dien Menu
German restaurant Parkhaus Thao Dien offers a variety of authentic German dishes, including schnitzel, haxen, and sausages, at reasonable prices. The prices of alcoholic beverages, such as beer, are also good, and VAT is not charged separately, which makes it even more attractive.
I visited for dinner alone on a Wednesday evening and ordered as follows:
Wiener Schnitzel Veal: 370,000VND
Currywurst: 175,000VND
Arco Weizen(500ml): 105,000VND x 2 EA = 210,000VND
The total bill was 755,000VND, which is quite high for a meal alone, but considering that I ordered enough food for two people, I think it was reasonable. Parkhaus Thao Dien is a restaurant in Ho Chi Minh that serves authentic German cuisine, and it is a great place to visit for a meal of haksen, schnitzel, sausages with German beer.
