#1. District 2, Thao Dien French Restaurant CH'TITE CUISINE Review
French restaurant CH'TITE CUISINE is located opposite Antica Modern Italian Cuisine in alley of Thao Dien, District 2, Ho Chi Minh City. This casual restaurant is especially popular with Westerners because it offers hearty, home-cooked French cuisine at affordable prices.
I visited alone on a Thursday evening to have a meal. It's a fairly old restaurant, and while it doesn't have a special interior, it does have LP albums and pictures hanging here and there on the walls to make it not boring.
To go with the meal, I ordered a carafe of red wine, Notre Vin Maison Rouge. It was cheap, Canadian wine, and not very distinctive, so it wasn't a good wine, but it wasn't bad for a light drink.
For my first dish, I ordered Tartine Chevre Soubressade. It is a food made by grilling thinly sliced bread topped goat cheese(Chevre) and sausage(Soubressade) made by mixing salt and spices with minced pork.
It was quite delicious, with rich goat cheese and spicy and salty sausage on top of the slightly rough, crispy bread. It was a bit salty, so it went well with wine.
For the second dish, I ordered the main dish Cordon Bleu. It is a fried cheese wrapped in ham, served with a salad and a side. The sides are a choice of French fries, mashed potatoes, spaghetti, penne, rice, fried potatoes, semolina, and ratatouille.
It was quite huge, filled with Emmental cheese, bechamel sauce, and thin chicken ham inside a thick fried dough. I chose penne as a side that day, but rice, ratatouille, and French fries would go better with Cordon Bleu.
As expected from a French restaurant, the portion of the main dish was larger than expected. CH'TITE CUISINE is a casual restaurant where you can enjoy a generous portion of French home cooking at a reasonable price, making it an attractive restaurant.

CH'TITE CUISINE is a casual French restaurant that serves a variety of French home-cooked meals at reasonable prices. It may not be a restaurant with a great atmosphere or great cuisine, but it is an attractive restaurant where you can enjoy decent and hearty French home-style cooking in a relaxed atmosphere.
I visited alone for dinner on Thursday evening and ordered as follows:
Tartine Chevre Soubressade: 105,000VND
Cordon Bleu: 190,000VND
Notre Vin Maison Rouge 25CL: 150,000VND
The total amount is 445,000VND, which is quite cheap. Since the amount of food is quite large, if you want to try various dishes, it is better to visit with several people rather than alone. CH'TITE CUISINE is a casual, affordable French restaurant that's perfect for when you're craving French cuisine.
