#1. District 2, Binh Khanh Lamb Skewer Restaurant Burning Lamb Review
Burning Lamb, a lamb skewer restaurant, is located next to Highland Cafe on the ground floor of the New City apartment in District 2, Ho Chi Minh City. Among the lamb skewer restaurants in Ho Chi Minh City, this one has the most delicious food, so I always visit whenever I'm craving lamb skewers.
My friend and I visited on a Friday evening to have lamb skewers and Tsingtao beer. The interior is well ventilated and air-conditioned, so it is comfortable to eat, but since smoking is allowed indoors, it may be a little uncomfortable if you are a non-smoker or are visiting with young children. It would be nice to separate smoking and non-smoking seats...
The side dishes include stir-fried peanuts, pickled onions, and pickled cabbage, which are great snacks for beer while waiting for your order. In particular, I kept reaching for the salty stir-fried peanuts.
For my first meal, I ordered two servings of lamb skewers. There are 5 skewers per serving, and unlike other restaurants, Burning Lamb's lamb skewers are seasoned with red sauce. The chunks of lamb were quite large and fresh, so just looking at them gave me great satisfaction.
The lamb skewers are seasoned to some extent with the red seasoning, so they have a salty and slightly spicy taste, so it is delicious when eaten plain. However, it is still more delicious when dipped in tsuran sauce and cumin. Because it has less of a lamb-like smell, it is a food that will be liked much unless you are someone who really hates lamb.
For my second dish, I ordered lamb soup. A square stainless steel pot is filled with lamb soup that looks like Korean oxtail soup. It consists of lamb meat and green onions and has a ton of pepper.
Thanks to the generous amount of pepper and green onion flavor, there is almost no smell and odor unique to lamb, and the savory yet refreshing soup taste is great as a food with alcohol. There is more pepper than we normally sprinkle in the soup, so it has a spicy taste, and the spicy taste of the soup balances out the greasiness of the lamb skewers.
For the third and final dish, I ordered lamb chops. It's a bit expensive, but it's a more luxurious dish than lamb skewers, and there are four pieces per serving. It was sprinkled various seasonings and cooked medium in the kitchen.
It's grilled crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, cooked medium. The pungent scent of the seasoning sprinkled generously on the outside and the overflowing juiciness of the lamb are very violent. Lamb ribs definitely have a strong sheep-specific flavor, so it has likes and dislikes.
#2. Lamb Skewer Restaurant Burning Lamb Menu
In addition to lamb skewers and lamb chops, Burning Lamb serves a variety of skewers such as beef, beef ribs, and pork, as well as Chinese food such as sweet and sour pork, lamb soup, fried rice, and fried eggplant. Among the many lamb skewer restaurants I visited in Ho Chi Minh City, this restaurant had the most delicious food, and I visit it every time I crave lamb skewers and Chinese food.
My friend and I visited on a Friday evening and ordered the foods below.
Lamb Skewers(5 Skewers): 140,400VND x 4 EA = 561,600VND
Lamb Chops: 486,000VND
Lamb Soup: 162,000VND
Tsingtao Beer: 99,000VND x 2 EA = 198,000VND
A total of 1,407,600VND is a bit high for a meal for two considering the prices in Ho Chi Minh City, but considering that the two men ate lamb skewers, lamb chops, and lamb soup to their fill, it doesn't seem that bad. Burning Lamb is one of the best lamb skewer restaurants in Ho Chi Minh City and is definitely worth a visit if you want to try lamb skewers and other Chinese dishes.
