#1. District 2, An Phu Rice Noodles Restaurant PHO NAM VUONG Review
PHO NAM VUONG, a rice noodle restaurant, is located behind Cantaville Premier in An Phu, District 2, Ho Chi Minh City. It is not one of the best rice noodle restaurants in Ho Chi Minh City, but considering the prices in downtown Ho Chi Minh, it is very reasonable and provides excellent rice noodles, which is very satisfying. There is especially famous among Koreans living nearby.
The restaurant is fairly large, with tables both indoors and outdoors. I visited on a Wednesday evening to dine alone, and since the weather was hot that day, I sat at an indoor table with air conditioning.
As soon as I sat down, I was given Tra Da(Iced Tea) and a wet wipe before I could even order. There are many restaurants that charge for iced tea, but here it was free. Whenever my cup was empty, a nearby staff would immediately fill it up without me having to say anything, and the staff service was the best of all the rice noodle restaurants I've ever visited.
When I ordered rice noodles, they gave me Quay and herbs such as Thai basil, culantro. Quay, which they gave me even if I didn't order it, was very cheap at 4,000VND per piece and is a deep-fried rice dough bread, almost like China's Youtiao.
For dinner, I ordered Pho Dac Biet(Special Rice Noodles). It was a generous bowl of rice noodles with five toppings Tai(raw beef), Nam(lean meat), Gau(brisket), Gan(tendon), and Bo Vien(meatball), served with bean sprouts.
I added bean sprouts, and herbs along with sliced chili peppers and lime juice to the rice noodles to give them more flavor, texture, and aroma. The oiliness of the beef broth was balanced by the refreshing taste of lime juice and the spicy taste of chili peppers, and the aroma and texture of various vegetables blended together to make it quite delicious.
After eating some of the rice noodles, put a quay into the broth and let made it soften. When eaten on its own, it is hard and tasteless, but the quay had absorbed the various tastes and aromas of the broth, making it another delicacy to enjoy when eating rice noodles.
#2. Rice Noodles Restaurant PHO NAM VUONG Menu
PHO NAM VUONG, a rice noodle restaurant located in downtown Ho Chi Minh City, is an attractive restaurant where you can enjoy rice noodles of good quality at a reasonable price. The price of rice noodles is determined by the size and toppings, and you can also add extra toppings. Drinks and desserts are also quite cheap, as expected from a local restaurant.
I visited alone for dinner on a Wednesday evening and ordered as follows:
Pho Dac Biet(Special Rice Noodles): 75,000VND
Quay: 4,000VND
Khan Lanh(Wet Wipe): 2,000VND
I was able to have a satisfying meal for a very reasonable price of 81,000VND.
