#1. District 2, An Phu Korean Restaurant Maitta Review
Maitta is a snack bar and Korean restaurant located in a housing complex behind Cantavil Apartment, An Phu, District 2, Ho Chi Minh City. It's a good restaurant to visit when you're craving simple Korean food with a home-cooked feel. In the case of Maitta Meal, the menu changes every day, so if you're picky about what to eat, it's best to contact the restaurant directly and check the menu for that day before visiting.
Like other restaurants around here, they use a large house as their store. There is a restaurant on the first floor, a study room on the second floor, and an art academy on the third floor. My friend and I visited on a Wednesday evening, took a seat in a corner, and ordered two Maitta Meals. On this day, we had a choice between spicy soft tofu stew and seafood soybean paste stew.
I chose Maitta Meal(Spicy Soft Tofu Stew). Spicy Soft tofu stew, a spicy soup with plenty of ingredients such as soft tofu, eggs, onions, green onions, and zucchini, was served with cabbage kimchi, seasoned bean sprouts, pickled water spinach, soy sauce braised beef, and salad as side dishes.
My friend who went with me chose Maitta Meal(Seafood Soybean Paste Stew), but instead of salad, it came with a fried egg along with other side dishes. The savory soup with a rich taste of the seafood soybean paste stew containing shrimp, clams, zucchini, tofu, and onions was also quite good.
I thought the Maitta Meal wouldn't be enough for two large men, so I ordered additional kimbap and tteokbokki. The kimbap was a standard regular kimbap with eggs, pickled radish, ham, cucumber, carrots, crab stick, carrots, lotus root, etc., the taste of this was ok.
In the case of tteokbokki, the portion was large and visually it was good, but it was disappointing that the rice cake was crumbly and did not have a good texture. If only the rice cake had been chewy, it would be great. Other than that, everything else wasn't bad, including the taste of the sauce and the plentiful ingredients.
I feel like Maitta is a decent restaurant overall. In particular, I was very satisfied with the Maitta Meal that I ordered that day. Spicy soft tofu stew, seafood soybean paste stew, and all the side dishes that came with it were all delicious. I thought snacks like kimbap and tteokbokki were a bit disappointing and needed improvement, but other than that, everything was okay!

Maitta, a Korean restaurant, serves snacks such as tteokbokki, ramen, and kimbap, as well as meals such as bibimbap, fried rice, pork rice bowl, and pork cutlet. Food prices are a bit cheaper than other Korean restaurants nearby. They operate a study room on the second floor of the same building, so they sell cafe menu also such as coffee, smoothies.
I visited for dinner with a friend on a Wednesday evening and ordered the following.

Kimbap: 80,000VND
Tteokbokki: 90,000VND
In total, I was able to have a satisfying meal for a not bad price of 530,000 VND. Maitta is a great restaurant to visit when you're craving simple, home-cooked Korean food.
