Temple Leaf Spa & Sauna operates three stores in District 1, Ho Chi Minh City, and is a massage shop popular with Westerners for its oriental interior. All three stores offer massages and saunas, and the store located in an alley on Nguyen Sieu Street also has a Jjimjilbang(steam room), making it a great place to kill time after checking out of the hotel.
I visited the store located near Le Thanh Ton Japanese Town on Sunday afternoon. It is the oldest of the three stores of Temple Leaf Spa & Sauna and has a slightly worn-out feel, but it goes well with the antique chairs and shelves that exude an oriental feel.
I sat down in an empty seat in the waiting room and drank the warm tea they gave me. I looked at the menu and decided in detail on the type of massage, the time, and the intensity of the massage for each area. Reservations are essential on weekends because there are a lot of customers.
When it was my turn, I was guided by the staff to a room with a valuables safe. I was able to store valuables such as my wallet and cell phone in a valuables safe with a digital door lock. I could choose my own four-digit password.
After storing your valuables in the locker, went to the changing room. I changed into the massage clothes provided by the staff. If you are wearing T-shirts or shorts, you can receive the service without changing, but it is recommended to change because oil may be applied or may be damaged your clothes during the massage .
Since it is a fairly old massage shop, the facilities are a bit older than other shops. However, it is clean and not dirty, so there was no inconvenience in receiving the service. If you get a foot massage, you will be served on a chair, and if you choose a full body massage, you will be served on a bed.
There is also a space where couples can receive service together. The level of massage is definitely one of the top among the hundreds of massage shops in Ho Chi Minh City, and is in no way inferior to Golden Lotus and Miu Miu. I felt that the service was more professional than the famous massage shop 137.
If you want to shower after getting a massage, you have to pay 50,000VND. But if you get a full body massage for more than 90 minutes or choose a package, you can shower for free. The bathhouse facilities are well-equipped, so it is ok to get a massage that includes use of the bathhouse.

The massage shop Temple Leaf Spa & Sauna has a similar price range to other famous massage shops in the area. The price includes tips, and it costs 50,000VND to take a shower, 150,000VND to use the bathhouse, and 200,000VND to use the scrub service. If you choose a full body massage of 90 minutes or more, you can take a shower for free, and you can choose a package service to use the massage and bathhouse for a slightly cheaper price.
I visited alone on Sunday afternoon and chose a 90-min foot massage for a reasonable price of 480,000 VND including tip, and was very satisfied with the service. Next time, I will choose a package that includes a massage and a sauna, so I can make full use of the bathhouse facilities. It seems like a particularly good deal for travelers, as they can visit after checking out the hotel and before catching a flight, and after getting a massage on their sweaty bodies from walking around the city, they can take a shower or bath.
