#1. District 1, Handmade Burger Marcel Gourmet Burger Review
Marcel Gourmet Burger, a handmade burger restaurant, operates stores near Ben Thanh Market in District 1 and Thao Dien in District 2 of Ho Chi Minh City. This is an attractive place to taste French-style handmade burgers in downtown Ho Chi Minh City. Although the prices are high, you can taste burgers that are closer to dish than fast food.
Marcel Gourmet Burger has a clean and luxurious-looking interior that feels more like a casual Western restaurant than a fast food shop. In the evening, the room is darkened and the yellow light bulbs and red neon create quite a moody atmosphere.
My wife and I visited on a Wednesday evening and sat down at a table in the corner. There were cutlery, ketchup, hot sauce, and tissue on the table. My wife ordered a cola and I ordered a beer, but like other handmade burger restaurants, the prices for the drinks are a bit high.
The first dish I ordered was House Mixed Salad. A simple salad made with lettuce and other vegetables, croutons, and Emmental cheese pour with a vinaigrette made from olives, lime, and honey. Even though there was no chicken breast or bacon, it was light and delicious.
The second dish I ordered was Mac & Cheese. It's macaroni mixed with cheddar cheese sauce and sprinkled with sourdough bread crumbs on top. The first few bites were edible due to the rich, savory taste, but after that it was difficult to eat because it was greasy. It was a taste that Westerners would definitely like more than Asians.
The third dish I ordered was the Signature Burger. It was a neat looking burger with a beef patty, raclette cheese, pepper sauce, caramelized onions, chopped pickles, lettuce, and tomatoes between a thick burger bun.
I chose medium doneness for the patty, so the cut surface of the patty was bright red and quite thick, but soft and juicy without any odor. With sautéed onions, tomatoes, lettuce, cheese, and secret sauce added, it was a burger that was closer to dish than fast food.
The fourth dish was Spicy Chicken, which my wife ordered. A simple-looking chicken sandwich with buttermilk fried chicken made from chicken thighs, spicy mayo sauce, and coleslaw sandwiched between a thick burger bun sprinkled with sesame seeds.
It was a classic chicken sandwich with fried chicken that was crispy on the outside and soft and moist on the inside, and sweet, sour and crunchy coleslaw with a spicy mayo sauce that balanced the flavors.
Marcel Gourmet Burger is one of the dozens of handcrafted burger joints in downtown Ho Chi Minh City, making it a charming place to enjoy French-style handmade burgers. Considering the restaurant atmosphere, excellent staff service, and the quality of the food, it is a very satisfactory place to visit.

It consists of about a dozen types of burgers, several sides, and beverages such as shakes, soda, and beer, and desserts. There are also burger combo menus that can be enjoyed at a slightly cheaper price than if you ordered each item individually, as well as special menus that are not on the menu advertised on the table or on the wall.
My wife and I visited on a Wednesday evening and ordered the meal below.

I was able to have a decent meal with my wife for a reasonable amount of 627,400VND, including 8% general VAT and 10% alcohol VAT. Marcel Gourmet Burger is a French-style handmade burger restaurant, there is a place that provides high overall satisfaction as you can taste high-quality burgers, excellent staff service.
