Best banh mi restaurant Banh Mi Huynh Hoa is located on Rotary Road at New World Saigon Hotel near Ben Thanh Market in District 1, Ho Chi Minh City. This banh mi restaurant is so famous among foreigners as well as locals that it has a store on the left for general customers and a store just for delivery drivers, located two buildings away.
At the entrance to the store there is a kitchen blocked by a counter and a large glass window. Through the glass walls, you can see the staff inside the kitchen, mechanically continuing to make and package banh mi.
Although the line was very long, the kitchen prepared and packaged the banh mi very quickly, so I was able to receive my order in 15 minutes. There are a few tables in the store where you can eat, but it is cramped, so I recommend ordering takeout or delivery at home.
Huynh Hoa's banh mi is expensive at 68,000VND per piece and is also more than twice the size of a regular banh mi. It's big enough for two adult men to eat.
The large baguette is filled with pork, Vietnamese ham, pate, and sauce, with not a single vegetable in sight. It is edible if you eat it as is without adding the vegetables provided separately, but you may be disappointed because it is greasy a lot.
Along with banh mi, a large bag includes Do Chua(a Vietnamese pickle made with radish and carrots), cucumber, cilantro, and sliced peppers. By putting these between baguette, you can enjoy the authentic taste of Huynh Hoa's banh mi by adding sweet and sour taste and aroma and reducing the greasiness.
Huynh Hoa's banh mi is as large as the price, and the contents inside are more than twice that of regular banh mi, so two people would be full enough to order just one.

Banh Mi Huynh Hoa, a banh mi restaurant, sells banh mi as its main, as well as banh bao(steamed meat buns) and various ingredients used in banh mi, such as pate and ham.
