Although it is located in the center of Ho Chi Minh City's District 1, it is quite cheap, but the portions are generous and delicious, so there is a reason why there are many local customers.
My wife and I visited for dinner on a Wednesday evening. It was a little late, after 8 o'clock, but there were only a few empty seats as people were eating. Almost all of them were Vietnamese locals, and there was only one team of foreigners.
There are many local restaurants that offer Tra Da(Iced Tea) for free, but most cheap local restaurants sell it for 2,000 to 5,000VND. This place also sells iced tea for 5,000VND. The taste was not bad, but the price was cheap, and there's no reason not to order it when you're eating hot food in a hot country.
Some people call Bo Ne a Vietnamese steak, but it is closer to teppanyaki bulgogi than a steak. You can choose the ingredients you want, including beef, eggs, pate, sausage, and saury, and it comes with a salad and baguette. On this day, I ordered Bo Trung Pate(Beef Egg Pate).
Put butter on an iron plate and cook the seasoned beef, eggs, pate, and onions halfway using large burner before placing it on a wooden stand and serving it. You can use the heat of the heated iron plate to further cook the ingredients to suit your taste.
You can tear the baguette into small pieces and top it with beef, pate, eggs, salad, etc. It tastes similar to banh mi. Unlike banh mi, warm ingredients are placed between baguettes, and it is fun to change the combination of ingredients to your taste while eating.
My wife ordered Nui Xao Bo(beef pasta). It is a Vietnamese-style pasta dish that uses the same beef, onion, and salad used in Bo Ne, and uses pasta noodles instead of baguettes. It is a dish that suits the tastes of foreigners well as it has pasta noodles stir-fried with beef bulgogi.

Tra Da(Iced Tea): 5,000VND x 2 EA = 10,000VND
Wife and I were able to eat our fill for a total of 148,000VND. Even though Bo Ne Ba Nui is located in the center of Ho Chi Minh City's District 1, it is quite cheap, but the portions are generous and delicious, so it is definitely a restaurant with a lot of local customers.
